The Effect of Managers’ Coaching Behavior on Employee Innovation in Knowledge-Based Companies with the Mediating Role of Psychological Safety

Abstract
This study examines the effect of managers’ coaching behavior on employee innovation in knowledge-based companies. In addition, psychological safety of employees is investigated as a mediating variable in this research. The research method is quantitative. To collect data, three questionnaires related to managers’ coaching behavior, employee innovation, and employee psychological safety were used. After distributing the questionnaires in Digikala and MAPNA organizations, a total of 332 responses were collected for analysis. The findings indicate that managers’ coaching behavior has a positive and significant effect on employee innovation across various dimensions. Furthermore, the results show that psychological safety has a positive and significant mediating effect in this relationship.
